Hi, my name is Zsófia Ruszkai. I'm a translator, interpreter, with lots of experience in teaching: English, Spanish, swimming and Yoga. I'm a certified Acroyoga Montréal teacher and a 250hrs RYT Hatha Yoga teacher, and also a member of Yoga Therapy Ireland. I'm also a mother to a very energetic two-year-old toddler.
I discovered yoga in 2010, while completing my BA in Intercultural Business Administration in Vienna, where I desperately needed an outlet for the stress I had experienced studying and working simultaneously.
I have experimented with lots of different styles from Iyengar Yoga to Bikram, Agni and Ashtanga Yoga until I finally “settled” with traditional Hatha Yoga. After enrolling in a Post-graduate degree in Conference Interpreting in Budapest – a profession said to cause similar levels of stress as being an air force pilot – practicing yoga I was able to release the daily stress and acquire tools through the regulation of the breath to help co-op with highly demanding situations.
Coming from a very athletic family, where doing sports has always been given lots of emphasis, I have incorporated an inner desire for regular exercising, and as a result of different practices, I have greatly improved my body awareness.
I'm passionate about sharing my own discoveries of the body-mind connection. In my classes the state of mind plays a central role, and all body alignment cues are given with that in mind.
I strongly believe that regular practice of yoga can substantially improve our quality of life, build self-confidence, and prepare ourselves to confront the challenges life throws at us.
